How we source and write

Everything we say about our products has a source you can open. Here is where our facts come from, how we write, and what we will not do. Last updated: October 20, 2026.

Where our facts come from

  • Human research first. Randomized trials and reviews of trials in people, published in peer-reviewed journals. We link each one, usually to PubMed or the journal, so you can read it yourself.
  • Public health references. Government and academic sources such as the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, NIH LiverTox, the European Food Safety Authority and the Linus Pauling Institute.
  • The label itself. Doses, forms and other ingredients come from our Supplement Facts panels, and we print them on every product page as text.

How we grade

Each claim carries a grade for how strong the human evidence is today: Established, Growing or Frontier. The grade sits beside the claim, and the key studies behind it are listed and linked on the product page. Our Science page explains each grade.

What we will not do

  • Say a product treats, cures or prevents a disease. Our claims describe how nutrients support the body, each marked with an asterisk and the notice the FDA requires.
  • Call a supplement “FDA approved”. No supplement is.
  • Use a person’s name, a lab’s logo or an institution’s name to suggest they endorse us. When we cite a source, we are quoting its research, not claiming its support.
  • Cite a study we have not read, or describe one as saying more than it does.
  • Use AI-generated people in our photography.

Who writes it

The Cellovi team writes our product pages and Learn articles from the sources above. We do not pay anyone to endorse a product. If that ever changes, for example if a dietitian reviews our articles, we will name them, say what they reviewed and say that they were paid.
